Happy Anniversary Arashi!

I felt that I was forgetting something today. I looked at the date and thought ... "Hmm, I'm forgetting something." In the Arashi calendar that I have it says that today is Arashi's debut anniversary. Perhaps subconsciously, this is why I was wearing my Arashi Around Asia 2008 t-shirt today. Which got lots of attention today in class ... it's a very bright yellow. CONGRATS ARASHI ON 9 YEARS! I think i'm going to try and watch AnS live tonight.

Arashi is Alive in Kinokuniya

I went there in my 3 hour break from uni today. So, in KK Sydney the AiA! photobook takes up 2 shelves with the covers facing outwards. I don't think they've ever displayed other photobooks like that. They cleared magazine space to fit them there. Obviously I'm biased and probably reading too much into it.

Anyhoo, I was going to take a photo with my phone but the noise for taking a picture on the phone wouldn't turn off. There was this one guy who was Japanese and standing in the Japanese section. I was waiting for him to leave so I could take the picture because I thought I looked completely nerdy taking a photo of the shelf. Plus, the noise would have alerted him. If I was with someone else they could have been my buffer. I want to take a picture for the sake of record. It's $42.57 there. It's cheaper to buy it there than from YesAsia at this point because YesAsia's prices are in US dollars and our dollar isn't so great at the moment. 

Oh, and if anybody's going to KK take a picture for me please? XD

Pikanchi Photobook

Stupid question.

I just took my book out of it's plastic wrap.

Uh, what am I supposed to do with it? Am I supposed to rip it?

The answer is probably yes ... but I'm scared of ripping it. It costs money, you know. xx

Photobooks!

Came home from uni to find my "Arashi is Alive!" and "Pikanchi" photobooks had arrived. YAY!

By the way ... it started off cold this morning and as I was walking home it was really warm. I was wearing layers of clothes because it was cold so that probably attributed to my sweating profusely on the way home.

I'm listening to "Re(mark)able" on repeat. I don't know if we can request this on the Asian Pop Show. I don't if she'd have it. XD

I'm going to pop by Kinokuniya tomorrow to see if they have "Arashi is Alive!" photobook and compare the prices. Usually KK is more expensive than YesAsia. But I like to see Arashi stuff on the shelf. 

Photobooks for the win.

I still have to buy the Pikanchi Double photobook and the Gotobook or something, released like 4 years ago. Plus the, I'm guessing non-official, individual member's photobooks. SO MUCH!

I'm glad that the concerts over the weekend were awesome. Like they would be anything less than awesome. I keep seeing posts of people selling tickets to the Taipei concert. IF ONLY. It's such bad timing. Still at uni and what not.

That is all ... I have lots of uni things to do. XD

Kinokuniya Sydney is having a 3-day sale. Today, tomorrow and Saturday. 20% off books. 10% off stationery.

I bought the Lonely Planet's Tokyo City Guide and Mother Tongue by Bill Bryson. There's a section of the most popular penguin books and the covers are retro, old school, orange and cream. I'd put up a picture but I'm too lazy. I probably will later. Looks so cool. 

Also, in the Japanese section there's like a photocopied, laminated ad for the "ARASHI IS ALIVE" photobook (A4 sized). It's a photocopy of a I think maybe Malysian ad for it. On the ad it listed the price as RMblah blah. Is RM the currency of Malaysia? i have no idea and too lazy to google. I think they're going to stock it there. I've already ordered mine off YesAsia. So that should be coming soon. I was too chicken to take a photo of the ad. 

I want to buy more of these penguin books in retro-style. They had it for Pride and Prejudice, Breakfast at Tiffany's, a Steven Pinker book ... lots of lots of stuff.

So, yeah.

I just made myself dinner and am just waiting to download the new 90210.

Some help with some Japanese, please!

I posted this at a Japanese LJ comm but I'll post this here too. I'm having my JAPN1001 interaction test tomorrow. Which is basically me and a partner spouting out some pre-rehearsed scenario in front of the teacher. Having trouble with a couple of bits.

I was just wondering how do you say: 

My friends paid for the dinner or treated me to dinner.

Or something to that effect.

Also, is this right:

Person A; 私の妹です。

Person B: 妹さんですか。　下から二番目ですか。

A: いいえ、一番下です。　君子（きみこ）です。

I wanted person B to say: Your second youngest sister? 

The part in bold is the bit I'm having trouble with.

Person A: my youngest sister, Kimiko. 

Is it okay to write: 妹の一番下君子です - and get the same meaning?
